I looked up the comic series, but finding exact matches for my question have proven more difficult. So, to any hardcore Transformers fans, what is the connection/story plot for the original Transformers TV Series vs the movie?

It seems this summer isn’t coming out with many block busters. So far Transformers 2 seems like a slam dunk. The Dragon Ball would have been ok back in the 90’s the way it looks. I don’t know if this summer will do as well as the past 3 summers when it comes to movies. They should pushed Watchmen and the Wolverine movie back. Getting back to my topic what movies are coming out durning that might be good?
